spring is in the air

It was a long day I was driving the beat from Dexter to Springfield to Cottage Grove, Oregon not to mention a few small towns in-between. My back end was feeling cramped, muscularly pained, the calves on both legs were stiffening they, I, needed to get erect so Iz pull off the beaten path to a small, yet popular park along the Willamette River.

I chose the path pictured to the left which goes up and over a portion of Skinner’s Butte park; just high enough so that both those calves and the heart felt appreciated. Breathing a bit heavy, with the cold afternoon wind brushing, nay, slapping my face refreshing something caught the attention of the left eye. Stopping I glance upward toward the partly cloudy sky and what do my blue eyes spy spring colors taking shape in the treetops.

The walk up and over this small hill and back took on a rejunvination that can only be brought about by such seasonal change. I return to the Scion parked by the river restoration complete a new homo sapien.

The End.

A closer look at those pigments
